Really really really hope this isn't a sinus infection coming on. The inside of my skull feels like it's sorta on fire. And I'm sorta on fire this last week pumping out content on 5 different blogs, and I'm already starting work at 6 a.m. this morning on more. Plus a new forum thread later today for Walking Dead commentary, now that I'm caught up and going to be part of the live watch tweeting. Here is a teaser of what I was doing just a second ago. Keeping an eye on my chickens this week. So far so good in all this nasty freezing bitter cold, except Amy has taken to the roost and is very reluctant to come down and eat, so I've been feeding her special away from the other hens. She's a blue egger and not been laying this winter, smaller than the rest and picked on a bit, although she's always been spunky and never suffered damage, mostly just snipped at if she gets too close to anyone. She's an odd looking chicken, and I think they don't like that. Here is a first year photo. She looks even bushier and way more freaky now, like she's got double the feathers and is part chicken hawk or something. If she were running wild she'd be roosting in the trees.

I might have to run this through again sometime, I didn't take notes last night and tentatively scheduled stuff got tentatively changed. If you're not following my twitter and don't have a clue, I'm a Snarkalec Radio groupie. That clicks to the show if you want to check it out.

I am running to keep up with my head. That is such a nice change this winter. Even with the mini migraine that slammed through yesterday I'm still blazing away, and I'm loving it. I'm still a little glitchy and still have my weird days, but overall I'm thrilled that I feel too busy to keep up with myself.

Time to WORK.

The last couple of days have been ridiculously unbendy.

Hm. You'd think someone would have come up with a Gumby Spock by now... *search engine queen* But wow, the piles of other really cool and weird stuff showing up on that image search is totally worth it. I think the dead Spock flask was the most disturbing. You can click this pic to see more.

Ok, where was I? I don't know how Vulcans deal with getting stiffer as they get older, but I generally heave-roll out of bed and practically crawl to a heating pad on the couch, invariably thinking of the word 'unbendy' and then all kinds of 'Gumby', so I fear my last thoughts in a nursing home will be of Gumby. People taking care of me will think I have a Gumby obsession when that boils down to all I can articulate in my senility, although quite the opposite is true- I have feared Gumby since I was a child. My mom used to set me down in front of Gumby cartoons and I would quietly fear googly eyed string lipped dolls the rest of the day. She even bought me a Gumby once because she mistakenly thought I liked him, raptly staring so hard at the show I guess ***ASPIE***, and I found a way to mutilate that thing and make it disappear.

I've probably got a good 30 years (I hope) before I ever go into a nursing home, but they say prepare for the worst, right? I believe in preparing early. I must tattoo somewhere on my body "Please don't plague me with Gumby dolls." That'll stimulated conversations and horrible pranks galore, so I'll be very popular in the nursing home.

At any rate, this is your screwed up lower back on coffee and a heating pad, and now it's time to get to WORK. I need something really strong today.

I'm being a bad robot skipping my daily planning strategies.  That's a good way to get scattered. I did remember to check my fasting glucose this morning, got 91, yay! Supposed to be doing that once a week. Missed getting a birthday card out to a niece BOOOOOOO! 

Right now is heavy snow showers and bitterly cold again from winter storm Nika. Catching up laundry and constructing a yummy pot pie. Haven't made any plans beyond that and it's already noon, but I've been very aspie super focused on slinging a couple of Lexx posts this week, and have plans for a Valentine pie post for yablo and hopefully a Valentine survey for bluejacky. I also put a Valentine post on my shop blog. Can you tell Valentine's Day is my second fave holiday? 

This was my twittascope today. These things amuse me to no end. I'm all alone for hours and hours in the quiet snowy woods, the only noise right now is a woodpecker on the house, I just had hot chocolate, and my brain is scattering in all directions now. I'm so spaced I'm not sure I could have an emotion for awhile. I love days like this.

Time to call in the big dogs and freak my brain cells out a little. I have disastrously misplaced a few things over the holidays and now I need major incentive to dig out my house (I pretend I'm excavating like an archaeologist, lol) and find some very important papers. Because I suckingly tossed them aside while I was making cookies/cupcakes/pie one day (or something) and now I need them. In the old days I used to trick myself into sticking through a dreaded cleaning project, but lately I think it's funnier to just imagine Tony Solo walking through my house mocking everything he sees. That's actually been working pretty well.

We're starting to get our vacation scheduled out. Hope to spend the first weekend in May in Dallas and meet a few people and definitely hang out with Holly, then from there head down to Houston to see my zurrito. I've got several goals I want to have reached before we leave, so I've also got lists and schedules going on the side. Paperwork has to be all done. I want this coming summer after we get back to be free and clear to start cranking out the other books I've got waiting in the queue. After all the interruptions and distractions and u-turns and wildly veering off courses we went through over the last 18 months, that seems like a tall order, but I'm going to try. Just got totally distracted looking for an animated careening spaceship gif to put here and wound up with this, click it to see more way cool stuff.

But in the meantime I've got a pretty big weekend shaping up already with late night movie tonight, Super Groundhog day tomorrow plus a radio show I like to live tweet. Need to get the slab of ribs out of the freezer for Superbowl snackin' and get on top of laundry and grocery lists before the next winter storm rolls over us (two, actually, only 3 or 4 days apart) AND I've got a couple of Valentine projects I'm hoping to get done in a timely manner. This little guy clicks to my skimpy Valentine pinterest board, lol.

I really need to get busy now, time to WORK.
